Tommy Rutherford
Little Rock, AR
Tommy, with over 28 years teaching experience, joined the ESPN golf schools in 2007. Prior to turning professional in 1980, Tommy taught junior golf in North Dakota and was fortunate enough to take lessons from the late Sam Snead at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.
Tommy began his teaching career as an assistant golf professional at Inverness Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama. He conducted junior golf programs, clinics and competed in the 1981 Birmingham Open.
A native Arkansan, Tommy moved to Little Rock, Arkansas in 1982 and has been teaching golf in Arkansas for the past 26 years. He has helped many junior golfers and aspiring professionals.
Currently, Tommy is the Head Golf Professional at the Stonelinks Golf Club and Director of Instruction at the Stonelinks Golf Academy in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He oversees day to day golf operations, private lessons, junior and women's programs, and teaching golf for corporate outings.
