Tim Cockrell

Tim Cockrell is an Arlington Virginia native and has been in the golf industry since 1981. In 1984 Tim earned his PGA Membership after completing two business schools, the player's ability test, and an oral examination within the Middle Atlantic Section.
During his time in the Middle Atlantic Section Tim participated in many of the Section Tournaments and as well a busy Pro-Am schedule. The 1989 Casa de Campo Pro-Am was Tim's biggest victory since the Tournament was over 4 days playing two courses. One of the courses happened to be the famous "Teeth of the Dog" which Tim played twice during his victory.
In 2006 Tim became the Head Golf Professional at River Ridge Golf Club which is located in Raleigh, N.C. The Golf Course will also be serving as a host facility for the ESPN Golf Schools for the 2008 season. River Ridge will be the only facility serving as a host in the entire Triangle area.
This will be Tim's first year in being associated with the ESPN Golf Schools and is looking forward to working with people looking to improve their games. Tim has taught a wide variety of golfers from Tour Pros right on down to the beginner.
Tim and his wife Alison make their home in Clayton, North Carolina. They have one son, Aaron who is 4 years old, who keep both mom and dad very busy at all times. Family time is very important to Tim and spends as much time with Alison and Aaron as possible.
