| 1. Is this class good for beginners? |
| The 3-Club Tour™ is a great class for people who are fairly new to the game. However, we do assume the student will have the fundamental skills to play golf. The class is only a one day program, and we will pack a lot into the curriculum. Therefore, we do prefer that students have the basic understanding of the game, and have played at least a round or two. Now keep in mind, we don't ask that you to play well - in fact, it is sometimes better to have beginners. Beginners don't have bad habits to break. If you are a true beginner and would like to take up the game of golf for the first time we have a new program for you: the "ESPN Golf Schools Presented by American Express Beginners Tour®" - (for more information about the Beginners Tour®, click here). | |
| 2. What's the class schedule, what times are the classes? |
| The class starts promptly at 8:00 AM. The instruction will run strong until about 2:30 PM. We ask that you arrive around 7:30 - 7:45 AM for check in and to warm up a bit. We will break for about an hour for lunch - lunch will be provided by the golf school. For a more detailed itinerary please click here. | |
| 3. Is a round of golf included? |
| No. No course play is included with the 3-Club Tour™. We will keep you busy enough on the practice facilities. However, if you wish to set up a tee time, you should get a good "twilight" rate at the course - contact the pro-shop for rates (all arrangements and fees will be by your own arrangement). If you are interested in attending a more intensive golf program with course management and course fees take a look at our Three Day Resort Schools. | |
| 4. Can Left Handed players participate? |
| Left Handed students are not only welcome to join us, they have an advantage as they can receive a "mirrored" image of their swing - the instructor can stand directly in front of them and perform the proper swing. We also have a few Left Handed instructors on our staff. | |
| 5. Is this class beneficial for children? What are the ages allowed to attend? |
| We do hold a minimum age requirement of 12 years old for the 3-Club Tour™. We find that children younger than 12 tend to become distracted and overwhelmed during the full day of golf instruction. As for age maximum, there is no limit - we have found that it is never too late to improve your game. | |
| 6. How many people will be in my class, how many students per instructor? |
| We cap our classes at 18 students. We feature a 6:1 student to instructor ratio. We will break the class into three separate work groups of 6 students and rotate them through the different workstations. | |
| 7. If I bring someone to the class with me will we be in the same rotation group? Do you group the students by skill? |
| Answering the second question first, we do divide our students up by skill level. However, we realize that we have many people bringing their father, brother, wife, clients, co-workers, etc. and would like to be in the same rotation. We will definitely keep you together - please let the instructor know the morning of your class. | |
| 8. Who will be the instructors at my class? |
| The instructors that we use are on the ESPN Golf School staff and will be brought in to teach your 3-Club Tour™. For a quick overview of our instructors please visit our Instructors page. Since we have so many different locations and so many different instructors we usually won't know who, specifically, will be at your class until about 30 days prior to your class. If you're interested, you can call Student Services at 800-642-5528 x 0 and we will be happy to let you know. | |
| 9. I don't see any locations near my hometown - will you be visiting us soon? |
| There is always a possibility that we may be coming to your hometown. Please drop us a request at so we know what locations we might be missing. | |
| 10. What happens in the event of rain? |
| In the case of a rainout we will try to reschedule the class to the next earliest non-rain day, which may be the following day or the next weekend. If this does not agree with the students schedule we will issue a credit good for one year. Please note that on some rainy mornings the sky will clear up early enough to conduct the class. Please make sure you contact the pro-shop the day of the class to confirm that the class is definitely cancelled. If the class goes on we will not offer a credit or reschedule for no-shows. | |
| 11. Do I need to bring my full golf bag or just the three clubs? |
| We ask that you bring your full golf bag, not just the three clubs. Although the class is called the 3-Club Tour™, we are actually working on the three main aspects of the golf game - the full swing, the short game, and putting. The instructors may have you swing your long irons and may want you to use some other clubs from your bag for alignment drills. | |
| 12. How do I register? Can I make a partial payment? Can I pay when I get there? |
| Due to the limited number of students per class, we do require that full payment be made at the time of registration. You must confirm enrollment at least 48 hours prior to your class (we will not accept walk-ons or payment at the class). To register online, visit our 3-Club Tour™ information page and scroll down to the list of cities for a location nearest you - click on the date you wish to attend (only dates open are listed), this will take you to the enrollment form. To register by phone please call Student Services at 800-642-5528 x 0 during business hours. We accept American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. If you wish to pay by check please call Student Services. | |
| 13. Is there a discount for Juniors, Seniors, or Groups? |
| Unfortunately, we do not have a discounted rate for juniors or seniors. For Group bookings, please call Student Services at 800-642-5528 x 0 for further details. | |
| 14. When do I need to enroll? |
| Space is limited and we will close a class as soon as it reaches its 18th student. It is difficult to judge when a class will sell out. It is always recommended that you book as soon as you know you would like to join. We will be able to reschedule you if the date you enrolled for does not work. We will stop taking enrollments 48 hours prior to the class. | |
| 15. Can I give this as a gift? |
| Absolutely, the 3-Club Tour™ makes an excellent gift. You don't even have to pick the location or date - we can offer Gift Certificates good for any location at any time (pending availability) - valid to the end of the next calendar year. Gift certificates can be purchased through Student Services by calling 800-642-5528. | |
| 16. How can I reach a Student Services Representative? |
